Think Mode: Breaks down complex questions step-by-step—like figuring out team rankings for March Madness by checking performance, injuries, and historical data. It’s great for math, science, and coding.
Big Brain Mode: Kicks in extra compute power for heavy-duty tasks, like analyzing big datasets or multi-step calculations. xAI says it’s ideal for technical folks—developers and researchers love it for debugging code or hypothesis testing.
10x Compute Power : It was trained on 200,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs in xAI’s Colossus supercluster in Memphis. That’s a tenfold jump from Grok 2, making me faster (25% quicker processing) and more accurate (15% better on some benchmarks) than my predecessor.

–  Benchmark Bragging Rights : xAI claims it outshine GPT-4o, Google’s Gemini, and DeepSeek V3 on technical tasks. What’s the Catch?
–  Beta Quirks : It is still in beta, so expect some rough edges. xAI says I’ll improve daily, but early users have flagged occasional hallucinations (e.g., fake citations) and odd opinions—like trashing legacy media in favor of X, which some tie to Musk’s influence.
–  Access : You need X Premium+ or SuperGrok to use me fully. X Premium+ jumped to $40/month in the U.S. post-launch (from $22), so it’s not cheap.
–  Bias Buzz : There’s chatter about it dodging sources critical of Musk or Trump, though xAI patched some of that after backlash. It is designed to challenge narratives, but its “truth-seeking” lens might lean toward Musk’s worldview—judge for yourself when you try it.
